AHHH I've Blogged!

Good morning crafters. I have blogged! Its been ages, but I have a plan, I shall blog once a week, hummm we'll see!  Anyway here is a little card I made using the Charisma stamps by Tattered Lace, they are as beautiful as the dies/cd's that have recently been on Create and Craft, but of course because they are stamps you can be your own designer! Here are a few pics, and underneath the recipe...

I used watercolour card from Crafters Companion, and using one of my essential circle dies from Tattered Lace a drew in pencil a circle about 7 inches in diameter. You can rub this out when your done.

I then made a mask from the stamp, so I could layer the stamps images over each other to give nice clear lines.

I used my distress markers to colour in and my waterbrush to move the ink around. Such a quick and easy way to colour in an image, try it!

I matted and layered, using our decorative edge circle die, then layered onto some cardstock, using complimentary papers, got those from Lidl!

I then used my hot glue gun to make a bouquet at the top left hand corner to add some interest.

Its not the perfect circle of flowers, but its pretty and I love it! Pass me the glitter!

A little blogpost

Good morning, I've been reminded how much a blog can bring crafty folks together, an area to show case your work, to get inspiration from others and to encourage other crafters by leaving positive comments etc. it's a wonderful thing to share, inspire and create. I have a little pic of a card I did a few months ago.... I love the colours and of course it's Tattered Lace.

Decadence

Good morning lovely bloggers!  Whoops I'm late I'm late for a very important blog!  Well in my defence I've been so busy in tellyland that sometimes I need about 48 hours in the day.... anyway I couldn't let this lovely Tattered Lace blog challenge go by without adding my interpretation of decadence!  I have used the Lily Lavish Blooms dies, with the skeleton leaf from the Lavish leaves too. I have also used 2 of the new embossing folders, chains and a corner folder too. I have used silver mirror board which for me is the decandence and some lovely papermania card, which is my latest favourite cardstock.

I hope you like it:

Thank you for visiting my blog, please go and see what other lovely creations have been made by the design team. Lizzy xxx

It's all about the boys

Hello everyone, today sees the start of a new challenge over at The Tattered Lace blog, you can find it here. The challenge this month is all about the boys, I have used a new interlocking card design, it's a nice little card shape that bends when locked, I think the theory is it should stand, but I have failed so far to make it stand on its own. Anyway I have used the With Love from the mini sentiments set and the centre medallion from the Chatsworth collection. Gorgeous dies indeed!

Thank you for visiting my blog, please go enter your card at the Tattered Lace challenge blog xxx

Romance & Roses

Good morning my crafty friends! This month I have been invited to join in the Tattered Lace dies challenge, what fun. here is the link.

To make this heart I used the Poppy die and leaf from the Lavish blooms collection, the tumbling vine, double hearts pick and the Marguerite small flower, and I have included a pic so you can see the  dies I have used.

I have used a great technique to make the roses and I have included a short video tutorial to show you how they were made.

If you don't fancy watching and listening to me, then here are the instructions: Cut 3 large flowers, cut into all three to make a rose, these must be cut from mulberry paper, stick all the layers together, spritz with ink, water or mica, whatever takes your fancy, scrunch up the petals while the flower is wet, dry overnight, distress the edges and place on your design.

Well enough chat, here are the pics!

I joined two of the heart picks together to make the butterfly's, the postcard is from the shabby sweet embellishment cd, the postcard was from the embellishment attic collection. The I love you stamp is part of the ditzy stamp collection.

Thank you for stopping by, and don't forget to join in the challenge! xxx
