I just needed to create a pretty card, having done 100 cards for soldiers which must be kept plain and simple I needed a creative day!

My lovely Mo Manning digi stamp, I love this little chap.. lacy toppers, flourishes and 3 layered flower cut with my Cricut, Ornamental Iron 2. Doily buttons and papers from my stash. Image coloured in with Prisma pencils and pro markers. All slightly distressed.

You make my heart flutter

Ok, it had to happen, yes more cards for the troops... actually I quite enjoy doing these,  yes yes I know I said yesterday I liked the pink and fluffy stuff,  well there is just no pleasing some folk!

A lovely little digi from Cuddly Buddly, Karen Middleton me thinks... nitwit papers, are there any others ! ?

A close up of colouring,  promarkers, might have to get some more colours...

And due to the fact that mostly chaps are going to send this home I have only used plain ribbon and a knot. The people that organise this actually say NO ribbon,  but hey I have selected deafness ! lol. xx

Sweet Tweet

My little printer tray, so pretty with Nikky Hall's new stamps issued with her latest Chronicle. I have been waiting for inspiration to create a printer tray, and I think these papers and stamps were perfect. I have used washi tape, shrink plastic, ribbons and bows.
Having completed a load of very plain cards for the troops, it was so great to use pink, and go a little over the top!

See the little shrink plastic birdies!  A bit like 3 ducks on a wall !!

A few cards towards my second batch of cards for the troops

Using free stamps and papers, a little colouring in, embossing, and layering. The remit is to keep them as simple as possible, so thats what I have done.

Scrappy kids

This wasn't so long ago, 12th February, gosh it was so cold. Where has that time gone, now it's Easter and I'm not sure I'm ready for that either! These kiddies are my adorable Grandchildren, with another one on the way, due in August... they had stayed the night, and this particular morning I gave them my camera to take some pictures of interesting things. I ended up with a plastic butterfly which was on someone's wall, and a concrete garden ornament of 2 ferrets !! So needless to say I took control of the camera for just enough time to take these... thank goodness!! Bless them. Just trying out my Craft Artist software, I think I need some practice lol!

You make me smile!

I love this little stamp from Polka Doodles, it's so sweet,  and this colour scheme is lovely and fresh just right for springtime......

I used papers from my stash,  and some free papers in my new Making Cards Mag, I debossed the sentiment, and die cut some white flourishes... I love these colours.

spring flowers

I made a bunch of Christmas flowers, using my Cricut, and I've only just managed to throw them away... they were dusty, and too festive looking. So I thought I would make a bunch of spring flowers, in pink, yellow, mauve, blue and turquoise.... I think they turned out ok,  and as they are very glittery catch the light when I open the front door.  It cheers me up no end!

Instructions for the flower wreath - Courtesy of Mel Heaton.

For someone special

Isn't this the cutest image from Mo Manning,  she is the queen of digi stamps!

She is so sweet... I used my new sewing machine to stitch.. I embossed the white flowers on the blue card.. I cut the flowers on my Cricut, of course! And used my paper stash to layer up... 7 layers in all,  so back to my usual method of more is more!!  Love it!

New home

Using some free papers again from Making Cards, the colours are so pretty, I wouldn't have thought of using green and dark pink together. I have used a doily distressed as a lacy border to the sentiment. I have doodled the edges in black pen... nice and simple.
