My mate

What a super start to the week, no snow and brilliant sunshine... yep I can handle that!  I recently purchased a lovely clear stamp from Cuddly Buddly called "My mate", the quality of the stamp is superb.. and I couldn't wait to colour her in. So she has bright pink shiny boots and a matching hat,  the sort of thing I wish I could wear but daren't, maybe when I am 75 or something, and people might think I am just a mad old bat! lol

DT work for my work!

Hi guys,  I was set a challenge by my Manager to make something out of a wooden heart and a decopatch frame,  these are the results. My only thought is that the butterfly is too big,  but as they are going to be displayed in the shop to give our lovely customers ideas I figured I would leave it.  But I like how they turned out. Forgive the state of the background, 'im indoors is sorting me out a new photo studio,  this is the trial run..... not bad, but needs improvement ! lol Bless him xx

Thanks for stopping by, have a lovely crafty day!  I will, I'm at work! xx

She's a star

Good morning from snowy Suffolk,  yes we still have snow,  about 3 inches or so last night,  but we are good, we've already swept our pathways, on account our Postman slipped over last year, and I must have my parcels!  Seriously he hurt his hip, so now we clear and salt the path.  Anyway I got a lovely parcel today, 100 sheets of the bestest card for colouring in on. Oh yes indeedy! Anyway, this little star is a freebie from Mayzy Art,  the bag was too,  so this all in all cost about 50p !  I shall pass this onto my beautiful Granddaughter who is of course a star!

Valentine Mouse

Such a little cutie from Cuddly Buddly... As usual I was going for pale colours!  Why is that they always come out bright and zingy,  I quite like it in the end, ONE day I shall do a pastel coloured creation... yer right! lol   He is so cute though... I might have to give this to myself, as 'im indoors said we weren't doing Valentine's this year...boo boo, I'm sure he doesn't mean it (yes he does),  but as I am already spoilt rotten I forgive him! (nearly)

The flowers, leaves and sentiment were stamped with Copics, pen to stamp, blender sprayed onto card, stamp placed on card, an interesting technique which Wendy Kadzidlo taught me recently.

Coloured with Copics, and used the blender pen to create fur.

Thanks for stopping by..... I might even enter him into a challenge or two, he deserves it! lol xxx

Well what a beautiful day in Suffolk,  sunny and very cold, about -9..  But a great day to take a photo.. my little shy fellow is trying to tell someone special that he loves them, lift the tag and it says "I love you", he is so shy!!  This is my DT entry for this weeks challenge over at Mayzy Art Blog her designs are F A B U L O U S !  Go check out her digi shop for some lovely lovely stamps. Just right for colouring with Copics, of course!  I also used Raspberry Road designs for the background papers, they are from the "Always and forever" papers, a bit of Tim Holz core'dinations,  flowers from my local craft shop sizzix framelits butterflys and flowers.

Not mushroom here

Good afternoon all!  Today I have challenged myself to making a generic welcome to your new home card... yes well, the pink had to come into it.. I blame the papers I chose!!!!  Anyway I think it could go to a man, if he was in touch with his feminine side. My mission in 2013 is to make every card, home decor item count... All last years creations are going to my local Hospice for them to sell.  Worthy cause I know, but this year I want to only make things which will be useful to me... mind you my work continues for our Soldiers abroad.

and inside too,  another New Years resolution, it makes such a difference.

Thanks for stopping by. xxxx

Welcome to you

This is rather special to me, it's using images from Make It Crafty, I love the quirky images, they suit me..... so I am entering this into their DT call. Wish me luck. The brief was to use an image from their range and make something suitable for new friends... after a week or two of thinking I came up with this, and I rather like it!  I am not giving this away, this is a keeper.

Coloured with copic pens, and using paper pad DCWV French Country Stack 12"x12" which is totally stunning. I used my Cricut to cut the embellies, vintage photo distress ink to define the edges. Pearls buttons and seam binding complete the design.

The light is so bad here in Suffolk today,  so apologies for the quality of the photo, I might take the pics again when the sun is out.

Thank you for stopping by, xxxx

lizzydoodles

I've renamed my blog to lizzydoodles.... I have been asked recently what my blog is and my previous name seemed to cause confusion, hopefully this one is easier!

Molly Blooms

I recently went to a workshop with Clare Rowlands,  and this is the project we made, using her stamps and knowledge!  "Today" she said " we are doing construction" oh dear I thought, not sure about that!  But I really enjoyed the class and didn't do too bad a job to the construction bit.

Hope you like it, and thanks for stopping by. xx

Are you ready?

I seem to be on a roll... long may it continue!  This is my Christmas card for all my neighbours and friends... It is a papershelter image, which I have printed and used my wonderful Copic pens on.. I scanned it, and then using some software inserted it into a photo frame using a scrap layout from Raspberry Road designs.. then I printed the whole thing onto glossy paper....it all worked out rather well,  a touch of real embellishments, an insert and hey presto 40 cards! I did the same for my Grandchildren, they coloured several images from Meljen's designs. We made loads of cards in just a few hours.  They just stuck them onto A6 cards.

This is my original art work,  super cute image from one of my favourite digi sites, The Paper Shelter. Sorry about the quality of the photo's but time has slipped past me again today!

You Rock

Happy Christmas, you rock!

Well hello to blogland,  I haven't been here for ages, due to personal reasons, which are now on an even keel!  So Christmas is nearly upon us all,  and as I smugly sit here typing, my cards are made and my presents are wrapped,  oh yes indeedy... my latest card for Cuddly Buddly,  and if anyone of you follow them on Facebook you will  have seen loads of my creations there over the last couple of months!

I didn't have time to crop it.  So you have a lovely view of my carpet in front of my patio doors!  Oh the joy of never having enough hours in the day.  Crafty hugs to everyone...xxxx
