Yummy apple pie

Hello all, well today is challenge day over at Mayzy Art, and the theme is "sweet"... which lends itself to so many things, especially liquorice allsorts, yes I know this isn't on my card, but it should have been, trouble is I ate them!  So had to think of something else,  I couldn't go get anymore, cos I would have eaten them too!!

I have used Swoopy Melva, and little piggies (see if you can spot them) coloured with copics. I used spellbinders Filigree A2 and the doilie is the largest die from Stately circles, a freebie metal embellishment and the paper is from Raspberry Road.

Thanks for stopping by, please leave me a comment, I read them all and all are much appreciated xx

My Chelsea winner (not really!)

Well its challenge time again at That Craft Place, and this fortnights challenge is dies and punches... well apart from a 1" round punch and a corner punch I don't own any punches !!! Well I DO have some beautiful Spellbinders dies, so here is my DT creation using Spellbinders... Stately circles to make the flower, rose creations for the leaves and A2 Filigree for the corners and embellishments. I love the paper its "Lakehouse" from Kaisercraft, truly beautiful.

This was inspired by my lovely other half, he played football for years, and was very successful... he still thinks that he is a superstar, well he is to me anyway!!  I just love these new images from Mayzy, and this is my creation for her challenge this week, its such a privilege to be part of her design team, so much choice so little time!!

Live your dreams

Good morning all, and a very happy Sunday to you all!  Its that time again on That Craft Place for another challenge, this time its a card for a man, and our lovely hostess with the mostess is Susan.  I'm never too sure about cards for men, but this time it was really easy!  First my background, made using my new Gelli plate, oh my goodness and this was my first print, can you believe it... I also used scraperboard for the side embellishments, a spellbinder die was used to cut the design and then I cut into 4 pieces and rubbed off the black covering, hey presto a lovely rainbow effect, perfect for this card. I used MME papers from That Craft Place, and also the rafia and string also was from Lisa's shop, other bits and bobs from my crafty stash.

And just to ring the changes I used my coloursoft pencils to colour in, that makes a change from Copics!!

I hope you enjoy your visit, please call again, and thank you so much for any comments you may make.

My nearly favourite toy is my gelli plate,  but at the moment I am printing yukky brown splodges!  Yes it will get better... anyway my latest card for Cuddly Buddly, a sweet little Lilyboo image called Sweet dreams, ah cute!

Don't you just love Serif for making your cards pop!  Wonder what I did before I got the programme....

Red and yellow and pink and blue.....

Here is my DT creation for this fortnight for Mayzy Art,  I love this image, Bibi's balloons... and just the right amount of balloons for all the colours of the rainbow according to the song! Hope you like her

The image was coloured with Copics,  and various papers used, Bo Bunny for the background, and free papers for the rest.. I used Crafts Too die for the fancy frame, and spellbinders for the tag and "hinges".

Thanks for stopping by, love and hugs, Lizzy xx

My posh hat!

Good morning blogland! Happy Sunday,  as I write this I will be sunning (?) myself on the Dorset coast, yes indeedy a weeks holiday away from Sunny Suffolk.. the last time I was in Dorset the heavens opened for days and days, so I don't hold out much hope!  Anyhow enough of that!  Here is my DT creation for this fortnights challenge over at That Craft Place, a fabulous shop in Eastbourne, wish I was there!!  This is my altered Mad Hatter hat from Tando,  and as Alice in Wonderland scares me silly I thought I could pretty this one up. All the products used are available from Lisa's shop.

Thanks for stopping by,  and have some fun making your own this fortnight!  Love and hugs Lizzy

Two new digi's from Cuddly Buddly

Good day bloggers,  it's been too long since I wrote in my blog, not sure where the time goes to these days,  but I have made time to post these two little cards for my work as a DT member on Cuddly Buddly... they are both Lilyboo images, and are so cute, I love them!  I have used Marianne dies, papers from CB and coloured with Copics. I hope you are all enjoying the sunshine, thanks for stopping by xx

You will have to forgive the presentation, my Serif was playing up as usual and I couldn't crop and make pretty for the blog. Sometimes it drives me nuts!!

Thanks for stopping by anyway, love and hugs, Lizzy.

Jelly Bug

Over at That Craft Place challenge we are being sponsored this by Krista at Saturated Canary, how very exciting!  The theme this fortnight is card for a child. I chose to use Jelly Bug, what a super cutie she is!  I love the little jelly fish and have just used that part of the digi stamp as a background.  I used my Spellbinders and Marianne dies to finish the card off. Coloured with Copics. I love the red hair and dress, and decided to block colour the dress, it seemed the right thing to do!  I usually blend blend blend, but I can honestly say it was quite refreshing just to colour her in in one colour!! (except her hair)

Thank you for stopping by xxxx

All grown up

For this fortnights challenge over at Mayzy Art the theme is Grow... This digi image is called Sandy and is available at Mayzy Art shop. I like the bright zingy colours, and now that Spring is finally here it feels great to use some of the brighter colours. I embossed the background, something I rarely do, and used Bo Bunny papers.. I used Spellbinders and Cheery Lyn dies for the finishing touches.

Thanks for stopping by xxxx

Pretty as a picture

Good afternoon all,  I have decided to enter the challenge set by Mel Heaton at Paper Dreams, using a Kaisercraft paper pack, rubons and stamps (The Lake House),  they are quite delightful,  and I had a lot of fun today putting this card together.  I have used all the elements from the pack, (order from Bramwells site) and added only a couple of extra things,  the butterfly (of course) ribbon, twine and my spellbinders.

I have of course decorated the inside too, but I forgot to take a picture,  so I'll so that over the next few days and add to the blog, it's quite pretty so worth a pic.  Hope you enjoy the card. Many thanks for stopping by. xx

Doodle Owl

Good morning crafty pals,  this is another entry for the DT for That Craft Place, the theme is animals, and well I know an Owl is a bird however I think that comes under the heading of animals, I think!!  Anyway this chap is from Papermania, the original stamp is not quite as detailed, but I thought I might just doodle a bit more, and if you compare the "clean" stamp to this finished one it is quite different.  I won't say the Zen word, but it looks a bit like that!!

All the papers, stamp, ribbon, die(branch) and candy is available from That Craft Place.  Thank you for stopping by xx

Nellie - well it just had to be!

This is my DT entry for That Craft Place, "animals".

Ok so this took me sometime to do, in fact this is version 2!  I tried some new techniques(for me) on both elephants but I liked this one best.  I used stazon ink direct to tissue (kleenex type) and used as decopatch. I used the Urban stamps from Papermania of ladybirds and dragonflies. I also used guilding flakes on die cut spellbinder dies and butterflies too. There is a touch of gold acrylic paint, embossing and finished off with mod podge. Lots of things going on with this elephant!!!!  Anyway I am fairly happy with how he turned out (why he???) and he will sit in my sitting room for a bit.

This next pic shows the top, a much better picture to show off the flowers, "saddle" and butterflies.

Thanks for stopping by, I really appreciate it, xxxx.

Sparkle Fairy

Don't you just love Mayzy Art images,  they are too cute, and this little fairy called Meri is one of the best, actually they are all the best!! I coloured her in with Copics and put loads of glitter on her wings and things,  she is decorated with some beautiful little die cuts from Cheery Lynn, (thanks Susan) called tiny things with wings,  so cute!  I have also used a new spellbinder die, and a new Crafts Too vine die,  too many new things me thinks!  Whoops! perhaps the fairy needs to wave her wand over my bank balance before 'im indoors takes a look!!!  Anyway here she is as my DT entry for Mayzy Art. Thanks for stopping by xx

Big crafty hugs from Sunny Suffolk,  Oh and a very very happy Easter to you all !!!!!!!!!! xx

Isobel

Such a pretty little princess, Isobel is one of the stamps from Crafters Companion, a challenge for me as I put together a 6x6 card, I'm so used to using 8x8 cards now, but I wanted the image to be the focal point this time and not the embellishments, yer like that worked !!

Thank you for stopping by xxxx

Happy days

I think we could all do with some happy days right now!  We are all suffering with the snow, not nice, and I really think someone needs to have a word!  I have just completed a lovely card for Cuddly Buddly using a Lilyboo image called "My special place" , it's so cute and filled with spring flowers, just the ticket..

I forgot to photo the inside, which as you all know I now decorate too, hey ho, its only taken me about 5 hours to upload this image, our internet in Sunny Suffolk is definitely needing a sharp word!  I hope you enjoy my little card. Big crafty snowy hugs from me. xxx

George and his train

This is the card I made yesterday at Sir Stampalot with the lovely Clare Rowland (Molly Blooms),  it shows George ( based on her son) and his train, it was a super morning, she is so inspirational and showed many items she had made, some of which have been featured in her magazine which was published just before Christmas. I also met some wonderful ladies, coffee, chocolate and crafting, what could be better !

Thanks for stopping by xxxx
