Its challenge time at Mayzy Art - "Anything but a card"

I have used Seafoam the Mermaid - Digital Stamp for my picture frame,  this is my favourite photo of me and my eldest daughter taken about 25 years ago, on one of our family holidays to Majorca.. such a fun and magical time, and this is a photo I have treasured all that time, and so many house moves inbetween!  I used a photo frame ready to decorate, similar to a decopatch item. I coated it in white gesso and then applied layers of acrylic paint to give it a seaside distress sort of look.

The shells I picked up on holiday recently in Weymouth, and I knew they would be perfect for this holiday photo..... I used Marianne dies for the birds and Doo Hickey dies for the tags,  so simple to make and the finishing touch is Seafoam, well it just had to be done!

Hope you enjoyed your visit to my blog! xx

Its challenge time at That Craft Place - Flowers

I wonder why I thought of Christmas when I needed to make this card for the wonderful design team at That Craft Place!  But I did, and the colours of blue and white seemed just right....

The background is a digital lace image from Digital Design Boutique, which was overlaid onto a backing paper, I always use Serif to present my cards etc and it works so well, its so versitile... I also used the Le Crea Multi dies, flowers, such a fab set of dies, the vine is from Die namics.... spellbinders stately circle and a background paper from Raspberry Road. Thanks for visiting my blog, please leave a comment I would love to hear from you! xx

Live your dreams

Good morning all, and a very happy Sunday to you all!  Its that time again on That Craft Place for another challenge, this time its a card for a man, and our lovely hostess with the mostess is Susan.  I'm never too sure about cards for men, but this time it was really easy!  First my background, made using my new Gelli plate, oh my goodness and this was my first print, can you believe it... I also used scraperboard for the side embellishments, a spellbinder die was used to cut the design and then I cut into 4 pieces and rubbed off the black covering, hey presto a lovely rainbow effect, perfect for this card. I used MME papers from That Craft Place, and also the rafia and string also was from Lisa's shop, other bits and bobs from my crafty stash.

And just to ring the changes I used my coloursoft pencils to colour in, that makes a change from Copics!!

I hope you enjoy your visit, please call again, and thank you so much for any comments you may make.

The image was coloured with Copics,  and various papers used, Bo Bunny for the background, and free papers for the rest.. I used Crafts Too die for the fancy frame, and spellbinders for the tag and "hinges".

Thanks for stopping by, love and hugs, Lizzy xx

My posh hat!

Good morning blogland! Happy Sunday,  as I write this I will be sunning (?) myself on the Dorset coast, yes indeedy a weeks holiday away from Sunny Suffolk.. the last time I was in Dorset the heavens opened for days and days, so I don't hold out much hope!  Anyhow enough of that!  Here is my DT creation for this fortnights challenge over at That Craft Place, a fabulous shop in Eastbourne, wish I was there!!  This is my altered Mad Hatter hat from Tando,  and as Alice in Wonderland scares me silly I thought I could pretty this one up. All the products used are available from Lisa's shop.

Two new digi's from Cuddly Buddly

Good day bloggers,  it's been too long since I wrote in my blog, not sure where the time goes to these days,  but I have made time to post these two little cards for my work as a DT member on Cuddly Buddly... they are both Lilyboo images, and are so cute, I love them!  I have used Marianne dies, papers from CB and coloured with Copics. I hope you are all enjoying the sunshine, thanks for stopping by xx

You will have to forgive the presentation, my Serif was playing up as usual and I couldn't crop and make pretty for the blog. Sometimes it drives me nuts!!

Thanks for stopping by anyway, love and hugs, Lizzy.

Jelly Bug

Over at That Craft Place challenge we are being sponsored this by Krista at Saturated Canary, how very exciting!  The theme this fortnight is card for a child. I chose to use Jelly Bug, what a super cutie she is!  I love the little jelly fish and have just used that part of the digi stamp as a background.  I used my Spellbinders and Marianne dies to finish the card off. Coloured with Copics. I love the red hair and dress, and decided to block colour the dress, it seemed the right thing to do!  I usually blend blend blend, but I can honestly say it was quite refreshing just to colour her in in one colour!! (except her hair)

Thank you for stopping by xxxx

All grown up

For this fortnights challenge over at Mayzy Art the theme is Grow... This digi image is called Sandy and is available at Mayzy Art shop. I like the bright zingy colours, and now that Spring is finally here it feels great to use some of the brighter colours. I embossed the background, something I rarely do, and used Bo Bunny papers.. I used Spellbinders and Cheery Lyn dies for the finishing touches.

Thanks for stopping by xxxx

Pretty as a picture

Good afternoon all,  I have decided to enter the challenge set by Mel Heaton at Paper Dreams, using a Kaisercraft paper pack, rubons and stamps (The Lake House),  they are quite delightful,  and I had a lot of fun today putting this card together.  I have used all the elements from the pack, (order from Bramwells site) and added only a couple of extra things,  the butterfly (of course) ribbon, twine and my spellbinders.

I have of course decorated the inside too, but I forgot to take a picture,  so I'll so that over the next few days and add to the blog, it's quite pretty so worth a pic.  Hope you enjoy the card. Many thanks for stopping by. xx

Doodle Owl

Good morning crafty pals,  this is another entry for the DT for That Craft Place, the theme is animals, and well I know an Owl is a bird however I think that comes under the heading of animals, I think!!  Anyway this chap is from Papermania, the original stamp is not quite as detailed, but I thought I might just doodle a bit more, and if you compare the "clean" stamp to this finished one it is quite different.  I won't say the Zen word, but it looks a bit like that!!

All the papers, stamp, ribbon, die(branch) and candy is available from That Craft Place.  Thank you for stopping by xx
